High quality early childhood education delivered through our programme at Loxton Preschool Centre provides long term benefits for everyone. We provide an inclusive service of Universal Access to a high quality early childhood preschool programme delivered by university trained educators and other qualified staff, for 15 hours per week, 40 weeks per year, in the year before full-time schooling.
Sessional Preschool Sessions At Loxton Preschool we have 2 intakes of students. All children who turn 4 years of age before May 1st of that year are eligible to start 15 hours per week from Term 1 of the same year (intake1). All children who turn 4 years of age between May 1st and October 31st of that year are eligible to start 15 hours per week from Term 3 of the same year (intake2). Aboriginal children and children who are or have been in care are eligible to start 15 hours per week at anytime following their 3rd birthday, not limited to major enrolment intakes. Children may attend for two full days per week and one extra half day per fortnight. Group 1 attends for a full day on Mondays and Wednesdays and a half day on alternate Friday mornings while Group 2 attends for a full day on Tuesdays and Thursdays and a half day on the other alternate Friday mornings.
